What Happens When a Firmware Update Arrives?
A firmware update is the usual reason English disappears again from a China-market projector: the update ships the manufacturer's own strings and the interface goes back to Chinese.
On the XGIMI RS 20 Ultra Max automatic firmware updates are turned off as part of the install, so an update cannot quietly overwrite the English interface while the projector sits idle. You keep the firmware you have, working in English.
